Join us at the private theater in the Harbor Steps Towers as we screen the ASIFA San Francisco animation reel.

Many ASIFA chapters create reels of local talent to share with other chapters worldwide. At this event, we will be releasing guidelines for submissions for our own ASIFA Seattle reel to showcase local Seattle talent. Our first reel! Finally!!

Please join us at 7pm. The building is right across the street from the Seattle Art Museum. The entrance is down the walkway on the side of the Harley Motorcycle merchandise store. Call Linda's cell phone at 206-250-6437 to be let in.

Animation Contest

The Spring Contest theme is "In The News!"

Here's the Winter Contest Page.

Submit your short animation. Any medium accepted. If you send us a Flash or Quicktime file, we'll post it on the contest page. Entries will be screened at the Ani-Jam.

Have fun, and don't take it too seriously!

We run the contest quarterly and screen entries at the Ani-Jams.

It's back, the ever popular Ani-Jam. No pencil tests here, we go straight to ink. With some light tables, pens and camera, this is an evening of caffeine fueled drawing, fun and socializing.

Everyone at the Ani-Jam will have the chance to draw a short segment of animation. We'll have 4 or 5 light tables set-up to keep things moving along. At each station, someone draws a segment to start. Then the last frame is handed to the next person who works from that image to make a segment of their own. The drawings keep getting passed from animator to animator. After everyone has had a chance or two to draw, we'll add some tweens to tie all the stacks together. The drawings will be digitized right there for an on-the-spot screening that always gets a good laugh. Take a look in the videos section to see the results of last quarter's Anijam. If you own a portable light table, please bring it along.

While people are drawing and socializing, we'll watch the submissions from the Spring Animation Contest.

Guests are welcome!
