Henry Cogswell College in Everett, WA seeks Assistant Professor of Digital Animation.
Description:
Full time faculty position teaching various courses in 2D and 3D Animation. Candidate must have the ability to work with beginners through advanced students, teaching courses that include Character Development, Storyboarding, Principles of Animation and 2D/3D digital animation production. A fundamental knowledge of the traditional principles of animation techniques is essential. Additionally, a practical knowledge of Flash, ToonBoom Studio, Flipbook, Photoshop, Premiere and Maya is desirable.
This position requires an individual with a strong commitment to teaching, collaborative learning and to program development.
Teach full-time course load in an 11 month, 3 term academic calendar year. Further responsibilities include program development, advising and some committee work.
Qualifications:
MA or MFA preferred. Must have demonstrated teaching ability. May be willing to consider applicants with considerable industry experience and recognition in lieu of Masters Degree.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience

Description:
Full-time faculty position teaching various courses in 3D Modeling and/or Animation. Candidate must have the ability to work with beginning through advanced students, teaching courses in 3D Modeling, 3D Animation, and Senior Projects. Must have knowledge of modeling, materials, texturing, lighting and animation techniques for use in industry, primarily film and game. Must have ability to join the fundamental principles of art with computer graphic theory and concepts.
Individual must possess a strong commitment to teaching, to collaborative learning and to program development.
Teach full-time course load in an 11 month, 3 term academic calendar year. Additional responsibilities include program development, advising and some committee work.
Qualifications:
MA or MFA preferred. Must have demonstrated teaching ability. Prefer a candidate with industry experience. A combination of education and substantial industry experience and recognition may be considered in lieu of a Masters Degree.
